ADMINISTRATION - OFFICE MANUAL

Overview

  • Connecting the Advertron Cart Administration

    • The Advertron Cart administration side of the store is where you can modify features, upload images, add products, keep track of customers, manage payments, and much more. Any customisation in the office will affect how the customer will interact with the store: by modifying the look, structure, and content of the storefront.

    Accessing the Office Panel

    • To access the office panel, type in the location address of the store in a browser followed by the (/office).

The store address locates at https://isp.advertron.co.za/office.

Although the store address is at a sub-domain of the site, accessing the administration by adding the (/office) to the path of the store site can be done.

A user name and password shall grant access to your part of the administration panel to perform your assigned duties.

    Dashboard

    • After filling in your correct user name and password, clicking on the (Login) button will direct you to the dashboard. When you first log in to the shop administration panel, the dashboard may be empty, or there might be data presented in it. It all depends on when your access was granted to the administration panel, as can be seen in the image below.

Entering the Administration through the Dashboard

    • The dashboard is the first thing that you will see when entering Advertron Cart administration. The main function of the Dashboard is to give the store owner and/or assigned associates an overview of how the shop is performing. There is 3 section of the dashboard that can help you understand the statistical data collected by the store:

      1. Overview: Four charts are showing the status of the Advertron Cart store. They are Total Order, Total Sales, Total Customers, and People Online.
      2. World Map: A world map to show where the orders from the store were coming from.
      3. Sales Analytics: A graph is provided to track the chronological progress of the store relative to the number of orders and customers over time. The X value is time; which can be hours, days or months depending on the range selected. The Y value displays the number of total orders(yellow) and total customers(blue).
      4. Recently Activity: A section to check the recent activity from any customer from your store such as login, creating an account or placing new orders.
      5. Latest Orders: A list that displays the latest orders and their details {(Order ID), (Customer), (Status), (Date Added), (Total), and (Action)}.
    • Above the Dashboard in the top menu is the administration navigation. You can navigate between the (Dashboard), (Catalog), (Extensions), (Design), (Sales), (Customers), (Marketing), (System), and (Reports). On the right in the top menu underneath your profile name in the drop-down menu is the help section. These sections will be explained in further detail in the following chapters of this user manual.

    Filter

    • The Filter is a handy tool used regularly throughout the Advertron Cart administration. You may type into one of the information fields for the item on the item list. Pressing Filter will (filter out) all the items in the list that do not match the criteria entered in the space, leaving only the items that match. With the Filter, you can quickly locate any information stored in list form. Products, Categories, Customers, Reports, Orders, and more all use the Filter as the main search tool to locate items in a list.

For example, if you would like to look up a product in the product list, you can use the (Filter) as a shortcut to search for that product. This can be helpful when there are large amounts of products and you would like to edit a specific product without having to browse through every page for it. The search boxes are located in the first row above the product list.

      filter

In the screenshot above, (ZTE) is typed into the (Product Name) information field. The (Filter) only displays what matches (ZTE). The ZTE MF286C is the only product displayed because it is the only product name containing the words (ZTE) in this shop. If the (ZTE) wording was present in more than one product name, the (Filter) button would display all of them.
